Project Proposal
My project does not have a name yet. I'm thinking maybe “Montreal on a Rainy afternoon” or something along the lines of that but I think I have to wait until I get my sketches done to really get a good title. I will be doing a mix of 4-6 drawings on different size papers. I will be presenting these by puzzle piecing them together on ideally a clear background, like a piece of plexiglass. Not too sure how i'm going to get one but my dad’s in construction so I’m sure ill find a way. If not, I'll probably frame them in thrifted picture frames. Since the COVID restrictions are going to be practically over by the time we have to present, I'm assuming we're doing an in person presentation, so I'd just put the plexiglass up on a wall.
I want to do this project because I'm really into drawing architecture and fashion, so I'm going to go out one day (or two) and draw places and people that I enjoy. These will be quick sketches and not the actual final design. I'll then go home and decide which designs I want for each paper and pick the right placement. Then create the final version on those 4-6 sheets of paper.
So firstly I'm going to wait for a sunny day to reach 10C+ so I can go out comfortably to draw. Around early April would probably work. Also I'm going to start finding the plexiglass now because the size will determine how big I can make my drawings. I should have my background before mid April. Once I find my background I'll make my final versions, I should be done by the end of April/ early May. I'll make a couple practice sketches in the meantime while finding the background so I can really get a perfect design.
